DROUGHT IN NORTH OTAGO.
CROPS AFFECTED. Per Press Association. OAMARU, Dec. 5. Excessively dry weather continues in North Otago. There have been only three inches of rain in the last three months. The early-sown crops are practically a failure, and unless there is good rain soon the late-sown crops are likely to be the 6ame. Feed is scarce. Some farmers are arranging the transfer of stock 1o other districts. It is the worst season for farmers for about fifteen years.
