DROP OF SEVERAL THOUSANDS
A further decrease in the national unemployment figures was revealed for the week ended November 30. The total registration was 47,535, as compared with 48,462 for the previous week, and 51,408 eight weeks ago. Last week’s total includes the 35,590 men who were engaged in part-time relief work under the No. 5 scheme. The number not placed was 11,945, or 369 less than the total for the previous week.
