DROWNED IN SHEEP DIP.
FATE OF LITTLE BOY. OHURA, Dec. 2. A boy, William Ralph Jebb, aged 3 years and 4 months, was accidentally drowned in a sheep dip at his grandfather’s farm at Matiere. The boy’s parents, who belong to Remuera, Auckland, were visiting Mr George Jebb, and arrived at 5.45 p.m. The little boy was playing at the sheep yards with his father, who instructed him to go to the house while he went to feed the pigs. The boy left in the direction of the house, but when the father arrived at the house a few minutes later the boy was missing. A search was made at once, and the body was found floating in the sheep dip. Artificial respiration was tried for about two hours, but when a doctor arrived from Oliura he pronounced life extinct.
