INTERRUPTED FLIGHT.
MR F. C. CHICHESTER’S PLANS. TOKIO, Aug. 22. Mr F. C. Chichester, the New Zealand airman, who is convalescing at Shingu, in the Makayama Prefecture, will leave hospital in a few days. He will recuperate at Mr Eitaro Suzuki’s home at Katsuura. According to a newspaper, Mr Chichester told a friend that if backers were not found in Japan he would sell the remains of his seaplane for 4000 yen and go to England to raise the necessary funds for a second attempt by writing a book. LINDBERGH’S TOUR. ARRIVAL IN JAPAN. TOKIO, Aug. 22. After being detained for several days at the Kuriles by fog and engine trouble, Colonel and Mrs Lindbergh arrived at Nemuro, Hokkaido, at 4.40 o’clock to-day, completing their flight over the Pacific. ROUND-AUSTRALIA TRIP. SYDNEY, Aug. 23. Mr H. Br.qodbent, who recently made a record flight from Brisbane to Adelaide in one day, will begin a roundAustralian flight early to-morrow. He will attempt to accomplish the feat in seven days.
