/ GANDHI SEEKS INTERVIEW. MESSAGE TO VICEROY. ANOTHER OUTRAGE IN BENGAL. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.— Copyright.) Received August 24, 8.5 a.m. DELHI, Aug. 23. Gandhi has telegraphed to tho Viceroy, Viscount Willingdon, seeking a personal interview. It is understood that ho has assured the Viceroy that it is his desire to prevent a breakdown of the Delhi Agreement and that he is anxious for a heart-to-heart talk with the Viceroy. Tangail, in the Dacca Division of East Bengal, which is notorious for its terrorist activities, was the scene of another outrage to-day. Mr Alexander Cassell, Commissioner of tho Dacca Division, was shot in tho thigh by a youth when about to visit tho Co-operative Baniv. Tho assailant escaped. The wound is not serious.
