FALSE INCOME RETURNS.
FINE OF £3OO. Per Press Association. TIMARU, Aug. 20. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day Matthew Henry Richards, licensee of the Saltwater Hotel, for unlawfully making false returns of income for the four years 1927, 1928, 1929 and 1930, the charges being admitted, was fined £3OO.
