DEVELOPMENT OF INDUSTRY.
OBJECTS OF PROPOSED BOARD. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. Aug. 20. The conference of New Zealand manufacturers was opened to-day by Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, who mentioned that in the next fortnight he hoped to see a Development of Industries Board established in New Zealand. The personnel of the board was still being considered. It was desired to make the board comprehensive on the scientific side as well as on the industrial side.
