RONGOTEA

(From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTEA, Aug. 1. On Wednesday evening the members of the Methodist Y.M. and Y.B.C.’s held a successful social in the Rongotea Town Hall, there being present members from Palmerston North (St. Paul’s and Cuba Street), Feilding, Longburn, Marton, Sanson and Taikorea Bible classes; also members from the Kopano and Rongotea Presbyterian classes. During the evening a dialogue which caused much amusement was given by Mi;=es E. Hill, G. and J. Bennett, Messrs R. Pedley and E. and H. Bennett. Games and competitions were indulged in, tho prize-winners being Mr D. Print and Miss M. Smith, Mr L. Major and Miss J. Ilancox. The music for the games was supplied by Misse3 M. and B. Foster and D. Whitehead. Tho duties of M.C. were in the capable hands of Mr R. T. Major. Amongst those present were: Miss D. Whitehead, lemon floral ninon; Mies E.' Hill, black lace and net; Miss C. Gifford, fawn velvet and crepe-de-chine; Miss R. Foster, lemon crepe-de-chino; Miss M. Hunt, blue georgette; Miss Bennett, peach taffeta; Miss N. Robinson, red floral velvet; Miss B. Foster, cerise crepe-de-chine; Miss S. Hunt, pink satin beauto; Miss G. Bennett, bluo crope ; de-chine;. Miss E. Smith, red art silk; Miss E. Bishop, bluo crepe-de-chino; Miss M. Foster, brown figured erepe-dc-chine; Miss E. Hill, green floral marocain: Miss M. Arnott, blue and grey floral voile; Miss M. McArthur, red crepe-de-chine and not; Miss J. Bennett, green crepe-de-chino; Miss L. Gray, lemon celanese; Miss M. Smith, fawn art silk; Miss L. Glover, mauve crcpc-de-chine; Miss E. Foster, fawn floral satin: Miss E. Smith, blue art silk; Messrs Sprauling, Print (2), Wilkinson, Furlong, Major (3), Whitelock, Peterson, Smith, Walsh, Parker, Gloyn (2), Thompson, Gray, Bennett (2), Johnston t 3), Yarral (2), Fraser, Buchanan, Foster (3), Hancox, Pedley (2), and many others. Rev. M. Cossum, Rev. Mr MacArthur and Rev. Mr Berry wero also present. A delightful supper was served after which the singing of tho Doxology brought a pleasant evening to a close..
