AUCKLAND WEATHER.
SEVERE GALE YESTERDAY. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND July 23. The most severe gale of this winter swept over Auckland to-day with heavy rain. The force of the wind was fierce, and some minor damage resulted. Exceptionally heavy seas are running off the East Coast, but the Sonoma, which is inaugurating the new ’Frisco-Auck-land-Sydney service, is expected to arrive to schedule.
