ASSAULT CASE.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, July 24. Stanley Clifford York, aged 21, a motor driver, was sentenced b- Mr Mosley, S.M., to detention in the Borstal Institution for two years for assaulting a nightwatchman early on Thomas Moncrieff Stechman was fined £lO, in default one month’s imprisonment, for the same offence. The evidence showed that the watchman had been severely knocked about. -
