ACTING GOVERNOR’S ASSAILANT. CALCUTTA, July 22. , Sir Ernest Hotson’s assailant is named Vasuedo Balwant Gogate, aged 19. He is taking a science course at Fergusson College. He told the police that he attempted to kill the actingGovernor as a protest against -his appointment to the provincial post. Later Gogate said that he was protesting against the imposition of martial law last year at Sholapur, where he was educated.
