FASCIST REGIME.
ITALY’S ENMITY HARD. FLORENCE, May 13. “Italy’s friendship is precious, but her enmity is hard,” Signor Mussolini stated at a Fascist gathering. “There is great ignorance about us abroad. They think we are a -minor people, but we are a nation of forty millions. They think wo are governed by tyranny, but it is the Italian people wlio govern. The Italian people are capable of great sacrifices. More important than my speech to-day are the big guns and machine-guns. Hie new naval programme will be carried out exactly as Laid down. The Fascist will is a will of iron. “There are people who think that they can isolate Italy, and who would not he averse to starting war against the Italian people, even through the territory of a third Power. Me await them at the crossing. “Though words are beautiful tilings, machine-guns,, ships and aeroplanes are still more beautiful. Right i 6 a vain word unless it be accompanied by might.”
