TOLL OF THE ROADS.
ACCIDENTS IN BRITAIN. NUMBER AT AVEEK-END. Received May 19, 12.20 p.m. LONDON, Moy 18. On the eve of the first National Safety AVeek being held throughout Britain the toll of tho roads at the week-end was one of the heaviest recorded. The fatalities include a husband and wife, their three-year-old son, and the wife’s mother, ail of whom were killed when the car in which they were riding skidded and collided with an empty bus near AA’akefield. Another crash occurred at AVolverhampton. A husband and wife were killed, and their two children were injured when a motor-cycle and side-car overturned.
