RAILWAY LOSSES.
SOUTH AUSTRALIA’S TROUBLE COMMISSION OF INQUIRY. MELBOURNE, May 19. Tho Premier of South Australia, who has been discussing with tho A r ictorian Premier some of South Australia’s difficulties, said in an interview to-day that the financial position of the railways, which were threatened with a loss ot £2,000,000 for tho current year, was so unsatisfactory that the Ministry proposed to appoint a Royal Commission to investigate tho management of the railways.
