AIRSHIPS’ FLIGHTS
RIOO FOR CANADA. ARRANGEMENTS ADVANCED. ZEPPELIN LEAVES FOR AMERICA. (United Press Association^ —By Electric Telegraph—-Copyright). (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May_ 17. Arrangements are well advanced for the experimental flight of tho giant airship RIOO to Canada and back. The dato of tho vessel’s departure has not yet been fixed, but an announcement is expected within the next few clays after the airship has carried out a satisfactory further test flight. Flight-Commander Atherstone, the first officer of the sister airship RlOl, sailed yesterday for Canada with ten engineers and riggers and one wireless operator. They wil form a relief crew for RIOO at Montreal. FIRST STOP SEAULLE. PASSENGER SHAMES KEPT SECRET. Received May 19, 11.0 a.m. BERLIN, May 18. A message from Friedrichshafen states that, commanded by Dr Eckener, tho Graf Zeppelin left- to-day for Seville, the first stage of the flight to America. The names of the passengers were kept secret before tho start, owing to the numerous telegraphic protests received from nervous wives and anxious boards of directors. After leaving Seville the airship will fly over tho Azores to Brazil.
