TO-DAY’S RESULTS. The Manawatu Competitions Society’s ninth annual festival is proving very popular, and to-day the Opera House and the Municipal Hall were well patronised. There is a splendid programme arranged for the session this evening. Results are as follow: VOCAL AND INSTRUMENTAL. VOCAL SOLO (gills 14 and under 17). “Wind,” C. G. Spross.) Nellie Stadolpli, Joy Newlands and Margaret Waterhouse (Palmerston North) was highly commended. Also competed.—Patricia Kneebonc, Bonnie Mason, Betty Stubbs, Helen Tosswill, June Stidolph, Margery Goodwin, (all Palmerston North). DANCING. SHEAUNTRUBHAIS (under 12).
