FUNERAL OF POET LAUREATE
The funeral of Dr. Robert Bridges, the Poet Laureate, was an extremely quiet and simple ceremony, in accordance with his own wish. The body was taken from Oxford in a motor hearse, and cremated at Golders Green. Tho only mourners were his wife and daughter, who travelled in an eld car in which Dr. Bridges used to drive about Oxford.
