GUN CLUB.
• CHAMPIONSHIP SHOOT. At tho Pajmerston North Gun Club’s competition for the club championship, on Saturday, there was a tie between Peter Meehan, 11. K. Thompson, J. Donald and J. Dunlop. In the shootolf, Meehan won while Thompson and Donald won the sweepstake associated with the competition. Meehan receives a gold medal valued at five guineas. The other event was a ten bird sweepstake and. produced some great shooting. C. E. Brown, who won the event, got his ten birds all with the first barrel. H. Best, N. D. Stubbs and J. Dunlop tied for second place, Best winning the shoot-off.
