GARDEN PARTY. (From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, April 1. . Fine weather favoured tho Women's Division of the Bulls branch of the Farmers] Union for their garden party at “Raumai Grange” on Saturday afternoon, and there was a good attendance. The net proceeds exceeded £3O, and tho ladies are thankful to all who attended or contributed. The competitions resulted as follow: —Hat trimming, Mr D. Howard; nail driving (men), Master Ray Carter; (ladies), Mrs Swainson; sheep guessing (correct weight 106 lbs), Mr W. Guy (105Jlbs) 1; golf putting (men), novices, Mr Collier; golfers, Mr A. W. Anion; ladies (novicos), Mrs J. E. Walker; golfers, Mrs S. McKenzie; dinner competition, Miss M. A. Green; cake competition, Mrs A. Knox. CROQUET. Mesdames Stevens (6j) and Wilson (6j), of the Bulls Club, holders of tho Bennett Buttons, won their eighth match on Monday, when they defeated Mesdames McFarlane (10) and Usmar (6J), of Takaro Ciub, by 26 to 13. HERD TESTING. The following is the report for March of No. 3 group of the Manawatu Herd Testing Association: —Highest individual cow, 59lbs of fat for 30 days; lowest individual cow, 31bs of fat for 30 days; highest herd, 15 cows, averago 36.931bs of fat; lowest herd, 48 cows, average 15.911bs of fat; group averago for 1782 cows, 26.061bs of fat for 30 days, a decline of 5.861bs of fat on February’s average.
