ITALIAN PICTURES.

(British. Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 23. The Italian art exhibition at Burlington House closed last night after having been visited by 538,900 people; this is the highest attendance at any art exhibition. There was a record attendance on Wednesday, 12,700 people passing the turnstiles. Special excursions from the country were run to London on that day. Almost immediately after the doors had closed, the work of packing began. The scrupulous care which resulted in not one of the treasures being damaged when they were brought to this country will be exercised again during the ten or fourteen days the packing is expected to take.
