PLAYING FIELD INJURIES.
NUMBER AT HAMIDTON. (By Telegraph—Special to Standard.) AUCKLAND. June 3. Members of the St. John’s Ambulance Brigade were kept busy on the hockey fields at Hamilton to-dav, when three six-a-side tournaments, in which 38 teams took part, were held. No fewer than 23 minor casualties occurred, and one player, Ivan Smith, of Kopaki, who received a blow on the head, suffered from severe concussion. He was sent to the Waikato Hospital.
