MANAAVATU TEAM’S AVIN. Two Manawatu Club teams yeterday engaged in friendly matches witli teams from other centres, securing a well-merited win in each case. St. Andrew’s visited Retone to play last year’s winners of the Chatham Cup on their own ground. N Retone, wlio were without the services of the three Wellington representatives, Campbell, Steel and Farquhar, could not Hold the Saints, who dominated the game to win by three goals to one, McKenzie (2) and Corkindale scored for the Ralmerston North team, while Hanlon notched the losers’ goal.
Flock House were at home to a AVanganui team. The hostel hoys played bright football, John as usual being outstanding, to win by five goals to two. YESTERDAY’S MATCHES. AA'ellington.—AA r ellington 4 v. Canterbury 3. Christchurch.—Canterbury 2 v. South Canterbury 1.
