LEVIN BEAT MANAWATU. On the Hokowliitu links, yesterday, a return match was played between tire Manawatu and Levin Golf Clubs, the visitors winning by four games. INVERCARGILL, June 3. The Southland amateur golf championship was played to-day under ideal weather conditions. The title went to C. A. Masters with two rounds of 75, his total of 150 being seven better than the next best score. AVAIRARAPA CHAMPIONSHIP. MASTERTON, June 3. The final of the AVairarapa golf championship was decided to-day on tile Landsdowne links in ideal weather. T. H. Horton (Masterton) beat R. AVagg (Lower Hutt) 1 up. The driving of both players was good AA agg having a very slight advantage, but the putting of both was exceptionally weak. Taken as a whole, the golf was not up to championship standard and not equal to the performances in the semi-finals. The first five holes were halved, Horton winning the sixth and seventh. The next six holes were halved, AVagg winning the fourteenth and fifteenth and Horton the sixteenth, making the tatter 1 up. The last two were halved.
