AMANULLAH’S failure
TREACHERY OF CERTAIN TRIBES
(United Service.) Received June 3, 11.50 a.m. DELHI, June 1. Ex-King Amanullah, in an interview at Bombay, emphatically denied the rumour that owing to the defeat of his forces he had left Afghanistan. Amanullah considered himself unsuccessful owing to the treaeherv and faithlessness of certain tribes during the course of the march on Kabul against the rebel King Baccha and "his band of thieves.”
