COBHAM’S BRITISH TOUR, 500 NEW AIR PORTS. ' Sir Alan Cobham will tour .Great Britain in April to demonstrate the value of establishing 500 new air poits, says the London Sunday' Dispatch. “At present Britain’s exports of aircraft represent 90 per cent, of those manufactured.. You. cannot build up an industry without a home market. Every largo town in Britain must have an aerodrome, and the Mayors of 700 towns are very keen about it. Britain has become airminded in the past two years, despite herself,” says the paper. Sir Alan Cobham will first devote two days to each of 100 towns, taking up prominent municipal authorities and selected school-children, accompanied by their teachers, to demonstrate the lessons of flight.' He expects the tour to have very successful results, so that, travellers from the Continent will be able to visit any chosen town from Croydon.
