CALEDONIAN SPORTS.
Easter Monday will bo an especially marked day because of the annual sports of tho Manawatu Caledonian Socioty. The Showgrounds, which will bo specially usod for tho occasion, will be tho scene of many unusual and thrilling events. A rather striking feature of the morning will bo tho primary school events. The latter portion of tho day will bo confined to running. cycling, and wrestling. There will be many other attractions, and, provided the day is fine, many will take advantage of the opportunity of enjoying tho Easter holiday. ■ GRAND SCOTCH CONCERT. The Manawatu Caledonian Society will hold their grand Scotch concert, in the Opera House on Easter Monday night.--A particularly fino programme has been arranged with all the best local talent assisting. Those who have pleasant memories of the society’s concerts in previous years will no doubt make a point of attending. An advertisement appears in. this issue wherein particulars of the programme are sot out.
