CRIME IN N.S.W.
SERIOUS INCREASE. Received March 1, 11.5 a.m. SYDNEY, March 1. A serious increase in crime throughout the State of New South Wales is indicated in the annual report of the Commissioner of Police. During 1928 there were 3409 offences against property with violence, and 11,195 without violence, an increase of 388 and 668 respectively. Offences against good order numbered 57,289, an increase of 4,334. The courts dealt with a total of 137,079 cases. Juvenile crime showed a serious increase.
