(From Our Own Correspondent). BUNNYTHORPE. Feb. 28. The annual meeting of tho Bunnythorpe Hall Company, Ltd., took place on Monday, 25th inst.,_ when Mr J. \Y. Clevcly presided over a" fair attendance of shareholders. 'The chairman gave a summary of the business done during the year, showing that the company had had a fairly successful period. The balance-sheet showed receipts £ll4 19s 9d and expenditure £99 14s 3d, leaving a credit balance of £ls 5s 6d. The balance-sheet and report were adopted on the motion of the chairman. The retiring directors, Messrs. J. W. Clevely, J. Scheldt and C. Anderson, were re-elected. Mr G. M. Ranson was re-elected auditor and thanked for his past services. At a subsequent meeting of the directors Mr J. W. Clevely was reelected chairman. The final function of the Bunnythorpe Sports Club took place on Wednesday evening when they held their annual dance. The Public Hall was tastefully decorated for the occasion and there was a very large attendance A dainty supper was provided by tho ladies and the duties of M.G. were carried out by Messrs H. Hughes, H. Robson and H. Godfrey. The committee are to be complimented on their arrangements for a most successful gathering. A first-class orchestra was engaged and a number of extras were played by visitors. Our sport 3 gathering again was in every way a success. On this oocasion the day chosen, a Saturday, proved a step in the right direction as the gate receipts showed a very satisfactory increase. Tho competitors in the open events turned out better than in past years, and all tho other events were well filled. The most interesting events were the cycling races in which there were good fields. The local rider, M. Donald, was successful in winning all three events, after riding well, and is to be complimented on his success. The committee are to be congratulated in the way in which they got the items off, there being 35 events, and the programme was completed at live o’clock. The committee certainly worked hard to make the gathering a success. The Highland events were tho centre of attraction to tho largo number, and as on this occasion ail events brought forward large fields, the club expects to come out witli a good credit balance. Speoial mention should bo made of the diector of sports and chairman, Mr ”j. Smith, for the way ho handled his large committee and attended to the many duties devolving on him. Mr Edw. Clevely was a success as handieapper. Amongst the visitors at the gathering were Mr J. Linklater, M.P., patron of the club, and Mrs Linklater, and also Mr J. G. Eliott, vice-president, and Mrs Eliott. Mr and Mrs Wm. Andrew returned home last week from their honeymoon trip and were given a hearty welcome by their many friends.
