DOCTOR’S DEATH.

RESULT OF BLOOD POISONING,

AUCKLAND, Sept, 6. News has been received of the death in England of Dr. E. S. Alolyneaux, brother of the Bishop of Alelanesia, following an operation that he performed in a hopeless case of gas gangrene at Warneford Hospital, Warwickshire. After removing his surgical gloves, he found that he had pricked the first fiinger of his left hand. He used an antiseptic and also an injection, but without avail. A Birmingham specialist was called into a consultation and everythng possible was done to save their colleague, but Dr. Alolyneaux died from blood poisoning on July 16. Dr. Alolyneaux was 48 years of age.
