FEILDING NEWS
PERSONAL. (Special to “Standard.”) EEILDING. June 12. While alighting from a tramcar in Wellington last week, Mrs P. Jenkins (nee Miss D. Christie) lately of Feilding, slipped and fell to the pavement, sustaining cuts to her head which necessitated the insertion of several stitches. The death took place suddenly at Christchurch on Saturday night of Mrs Robinson, mother of Mrs C. V. Broad, of FeiJding. GENERAL NEWS. A sharp earthquake, preceded, by a considerable rumble, was experienced at .a few minutes before six o’clock in Feilding this morning. Mr W. A. Waters, engineer to the Manawatu-Oroua Power Board, was the guest and speaker at the Feilding Civic Club luncheon to-day. The subject of his address was “Radio.”
