SHANNON BRIDGE.
NEARING COMPLETION
Reporting at yesterday’s meeting of the Manawatu County Council on the new bridge which is in process of erection over the Manawatu River between Foxtail and Shannon, the chairman (Cr. W. E. Barber) stated that the structure was just about completed and gave every indication that it would meet present day requirements. It was a two-way bridge and arnplo view could be obtained of all traffic that would bo on it. The approaches were well advanced towards completion, but some time would elapse before this work would bo finished and tho bridge opened for traffic.
