AUTUMN BLOOMS

CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW. SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITION.

Despite the unsettled weather, there was a fair public attendance at the Palmo.ston North Horticultural Society s annual chrysanthemum show this afternoon, keen interest being taken in all classes the entries were slightly smaller than last yeai, but the blooms, considering the. unlavouiable season, were excellent. Mr W.. Grey s bloom (“Win. Turner”) was champion and was a particularly fine specimen. . In the miscellaneous sections, the entries were quite good and showed a slight improvement over those of last year. 'the following were the judges-Chrysan-themums and cut flowers: Mr A.
