TASMAN FLIGHTS.
AUSTRALIAN AUTHORITIES’ ATTITUDE. SYDNEY, Jan. 20. Replying to the contention by Captain Moody that the fitting of floats to the machine is unnecessary, the Minister of Defence said that the Commonwealth Government’s attitude towards the Tasman flights remained unchanged. The Government w.as emphatic that flights over water must not be undertaken to a distance greater than fifty miles unless seaplanes or amphibians were used.—Press Association.
