WORK IN THE TROPICS. HONOUR FOR DR, CASTELLAN I. RUGBY, Jan. 20. The King has conferred the rank of Honorary Knight Commander of the Order of St. Michael and Saint George upon Dr. Castellani, Director or Tropical Medicine at the Ross Institute and Hospital for Troiiical Diseases, London. Dr. Castellani, who was born in Florence, has lived in England for many years. He is chiefly known for his part in elucidating the causes of sleeping sickness and yaws and other tropical medical research.—British official wireless.
