The New Zealand cricketers commenced to-day a match against Leicestershire. Batting first, the Dominion representatives made 371, and at the end of the day Leicester had made 29 without the loss of a wicket. Leicester left out Geary, the test match bowler. Tho attendance was 1000. The visitors lost four wickets for 107 before lunch. Blunt and Mills started uncomfortably and only scored 26 ill the first half-hour. Blunt was taken at tho wicket when ho had reached 24 out of a total of 39. A brief collapse followed, two wickets falling for 19. Mills was caught in the slips and Dempster at mid-on. Lowry played the ball on to the wicket. The pitch- was good and did not account for the collapse. After lunch a change came over the game and the New Zealanders effected a fine recovery.
