REQUEST TO CHAMBER.
TO TAKE UP CRICKET SHARES. A request that the members of the Chamber of Commerce take up shares in New Zealand Cricket, Ltd., the company formed to finance the tour of the Dominion cricketers, now on their way to England, was made to that K)dy yesterday by the Manawatu Cricket Associatiqn, which confidently expressed the opinion that the tour would prove a financial success. “I don’t think this is a matter that interests ua,” stated the chairman, “but the prospectus is here if anyone wants to look into the matter.” Tlie letter was received.
