COLD SNAP IN SYDNEY.
SYDNEY, April 22. Amongst the destruction wrought by the storm was thei shattering of the memorial to the late State Governor, Sir Walter Davidson. The monument was erected by public subscription in South, Head cemetery at a cost of several thousands sterling. The column was smashed in several pieces, the base being badly damaged. ‘ , To-day was the coldest April day ever recorded in Sydney, the maximum temperature being 56 degrees. 1 res Association. >
