METHODIST CONCERT.
The social hall at the Cuba Street Methodist Church was filled to overi flowing last evening, when a successful concert was conducted under the auspices of No 1 team of the Ladies’ Guild. Mrs R. H. Billens,' who presided,' explained that the Ladies’ Guild had been divided into four teams in an endeavour to raise a sum towards the reduction of the debt on the church building fund, and this entertainment was the first step in that direction. The following contributed to the programme: Piano solos,-Miss E. Gunter; songs, Mr W. B. Tennent; recitations, Mr L. F. de Berry; violin solos, Mr F. Mowlem; songs, Miss N. Whalley; xylophone solos, Mr C. Bell; recitations, Master W. Whelan; song, Mr Gilmour; flute solo, Miss Feist; conjuring, Mr Grace; recitations, Miss Cadle; songs, Mr Hubble. Mrs W. H. K. Gilmour acted as accompaniste.
