NIUE ISLAND.
SHORTAGE OF RAIN. • FRUIT CROPS AFFECTED. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 23. The Hinemoa, which’ arrived from Niue Island this morning, reports that rain fell two days before the ship sailed. 'No rain, however, had fallen previously for nearly three months, and the fruit crops were being affected.
