PARTS’S GREAT MOSQUE,
GORGEOUS CEREMONY,
LONDON, March 29,
For tho first time in history, the Sultan of Morocco will break the laws of Koran, by paying a visit to Paris in July, says a Paris message. He will open the largest mosque constructed in the western, world, and will he escorted by a brilliant delegation of great Moroccan Kaids and Islamic leaders from Algeria, Egypt, Palestine and Arabia.
Tlie mosque, with dreamy oriental gardens, white marble courtyards, fountains and wondedful mosaic walls, is a gem of Moslem art. The reception promises to bo the most grandioso over accorded to a foreign sovereign.
It was reported yesterday that the Riffian leader Abdel Krim is utilising the Moroccan Sultan’s proposed visit to Paris as propaganda and is invoking the Koran law prohibiting the Sultan’s uepnrturo from Morocco.
