DAMAGE BY FIRE.
DWELLING DESTROYED

ASHBURTON, April 6. At five o’clock this morning fire destroyed a six-roomed dwelling and contents at Allenton, owned and occupied by Mr Ernest Cr.vsell. The insurances were £550 on the house and £2OO on the furniture. The fire had a strong hold before the brigade was summoned. BLAZE .AT TANEATUA. Per Press Association. WHAKATANE, April 0. . Fire destroyed the seven-roomed residence of Mr W. H. Sisanv at Taneatua, last evening. When discovered the fire had a firm hold, and only a few blankets could bo saved. The building was insured for £I2OO, but tho furniture was not insured.
