SHOT IN WHITEHALL.
EX-LIFEGUAItDSMAN DIES. LONDON, Jan. 10. The sound of a rifle shot in Whitehall at 8 a.m. startled people walking to business yesterday. It was found that Stanley Gosdcn, aged 38, manager of tho Horso Guards’ canteen, and a former Lifeguardsman, with a distinguished war record, was dying in his bedroom. Besido him was a service rifle, a bullet from which had penotrated tho roof of his mouth and entered tho room above his own.
