Tho New Zealand Astronomical Society has boon notified by the International Bureau, Copenhagen, that a faint comet, of magnitude eleven was discovered on January 14. The discovery was made at 2 hours 12 minutes a.m. Tho comet iy in lino between tho stars Gamma Corvus and Gamma Crucis, and is about one-third of tho distance from Gamma Corvus.
