FEILDING NEWS
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Assistant-Scoutmaster Street and Scout Bade have been selected to represent the Feilding troop at the forthcoming jamboree to bo held in Dunedin. While in Dunedin they will bo attached to tho' Bulls troop under the command of Miss Wilson, daughter of Sir James Wilson. During the last few days, the Borough Council’s staff has been effecting improvements to Denbigh Square. Tho long grass has been cut, trees pruned and the turf banked in places. A number of hardy shrubs has been placed round one of the plots by a local resident. A rata tree in full bloom at present is attracting some attention. Seen in tho full glare of the sunlight the tree presents a pretty sight. Rev. Father Cahill left yesterday on vacation which will be spent in a comprehensive tour of tho South IslaJid. As .its chairman he will represent the Feilding branch of tho S.P.C.A. at the Dominion conference in Dunedin on January 14.
