PRIVY COUNCIL
REJECTION OF APPEAL
EXPLANATION OF POSITION
Received November 7, 8.55 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 6
In rejecting an appeal against the sentence in the Malabar Ilill murder at Bombay, the Privy Council reiterated, in dealing with the criminal appeals from the Dominions, that they would not act as a Court of Criminal Appeal and would not interfere with the course of criminal proceedings unless it was shown that by disregard of forms of legal process or violation of tho principles of natural justice substantial injustice had been done. The Privy Council found that these conditions did not apply to the present case. —Reuter.
