THE ROTORUA OUTBREAK.
SPOT NOW QUIESCENT. GIVEN A WIDE BERTH. ROTORUA, Juno 18. Tho thermal outbreak on tho shore of Lake Rotorua is now quiescent. A lot of mud was thrown out and deposited around. The water is still boiling, but appears to bo recoding. It is probable that it will dry up and become filled with sand, as happened to a similar eruption below the Lake House about 12 months ago. Meanwhile people are giving it a wide berth.
