EUROPEAN DEBTORS.
AMERICANS OPTIMISTIC. Received May'2l, 9.30 a.m. WASHINGTON, May 20. Wth France, Belgium and Esthonia leading the way, officials here are optimistic that six other European debtors will soon find their way clear to begin negotiations regarding the funding of their war obligations. President Coolidge shares with Messrs Kellogg and Mellon the hope that the entire situation will be clarified within a reasonable time, but them is no intention to unduly press the question.—A. and N.Z. cable.
