WANGANUI WINTER MEETING. Per Press Association WANGANUI, May 21. The winter meeting of the Wanganui Jockey Club opened to-day in unfavourable weather. Rain sot in last nigh; and continued steadily this morning. The attendance is fair, but the track is on the heavy side. Results:— Pvvua Hack, No. 1, 6 furlongs.— Alabama, 7.11, 1; Rangi-Sarto, 7.0, 2; Curraghmore, 8.1, 3. All started. Won by a length, a neck between second and thirc horses. Time, 1.17. Pvrua Hade, No. 2, 6 furlongs.— Euphonium, 9.5, 1; Willow Mai, 8.11, 2; Tampean, 7.9, 3. All started. Won bv a length, a length between jtecond and third horses. Time. 1.17 3-5.

Hack Steeplechase, about 2 miles.— Ilonibrook, 10.7, 1; Sansalino, 9.9, 2; Ladj Comet, 9.0, 3. Scratched: Pouri and fioilio. Won by half a bead, six lengths between second and third. Time, 4.5 4-5.
