RESOLUTIONS OF SYMPATHY

A motion of sympathy with Mrs Massey and family was carried at the annual meeting last night of the Aokautere branch of the Dairy Fanners’ Union, the president, Mr 0. W. Williams, making fitting reference to the deatn of the late Prime Minister, who had consented to becoir e a member of the union almost from its inception. At last night’s meeting of the Wanganui Education Board, a motion of sympathy with Mrs Massey and family was passed. The following further messages of condolence were received by Mrs Massey yesterday in connection with the death of the Prime Minister: Prom the Lord Mayor o’ Bristol: f'The Lord Mayor and citizeis of Bristol send their deepest sympathy.” From Mr H. Garrison, general secretary of the British Israjl World Federation, London: “On behalf of the federation respectfully offer tenderest sympathy.” From Sir Arthur and Lady Myers, London: “Deepest sympathy with you and family in irreparable loss of affectionate husband and father, whose untiring energy niid devotion to the discharge of public duties vas an inspiration to all, and whose c relent Imperialism was great asset to Empire.”
