A very old resident of Gisborne, Mr Isaac Chadwick Taylor, aged 83. died this week. The death is reported by < able from Tokio of the Marquis ■Rairin Tokugawa, brother of Prince Tokugawo.

Mr George Frederick Jenkinson, who passed away at Hamilton this week, aged 75 years, is stated by an Auck and paper to have been a descendant of tho original Lord Liverpool. Rev. Andrew Cameron, 8.A., L.L.D., of Otago University, who dropped dead in Manchester Street, Christchurch on Tuesday, when on his way to attend the University Senate, wae born in Paisley. Scotland, in 1885. lie was educated at Port Chalmers High School, Otago University, Edinburgh, Jena. Leipzig and Berlin. He arrived in New Zealand in 1863 in the si ip City of Dunedin. Dr. Cameron took nis B.A. degree in 1879 (senior scholarship in zoology) and went to Edinburgh in 1880 for theological studies. He was licensed as a preacher by the Presbytery of Edinburgh in 1883 and was called as minister of the Anderson’s Bay Presbyterian Church. Dr. Cameron had been a member of the Otago University Council since 1894, and was for some years on tho Board of Governors of the Otago Boys and Girls’ High Schools. From 1902 on he was a men her of the Senate of tho Now Zealand University.
